Ryanair announces €185m loss

Ryanair (FR/RYR), the Irish budget airline, has announced a loss of €185m for Quarter 1 of 2020. Whilst massive, the loss is unsprising as the quarter included an almost total grounding of air traffic due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The airline says that traffic fell 99% during the period. British Airways reaches deal with Pilots

British Airways (BA/BAW) has said it has reached an agreement with the British Airline Pilots Association (BALPA) over the future of pilots employed by the airline. According to BALPA the deal will see 270 pilots being made redundant and pay cuts of up to 20% for the remaining flight crew. [read more]

Commercial flights set to resume at Cardiff Airport

Commercial passenger flights are to get underway again at Cardiff Airport (CWL/EGFF) when Irish budget airline Ryanair (FR/RYR) restart flying from Wales’ national airport this week.
