AAIB investigating ‘unmanned aerial vehicle’ accident in West Sussex

The Air Accident Investigation Branch (AAIB) has said it has sent a team to West Sussex to investigate an accident involving an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle or Drone.

Not much is known about the nature of the accident which happened near Goodwood yesterday.

The Goodwood Estate is currently hosting the Festival of Speed which always sees an increase in aerial activity in the area as well as a small airfield and motor racing circuit.

It is not clear whether the incident is connected to either site or the Festival of Speed event at this time.
