Virgin changes to A330-200 at Manchester

Virgin Atlantic is changing some A330 routes at Manchester Airport (MAN/EGCC) to the smaller -200 version in 2018.

Starting from March ’18, flights from Manchester to Atlanta (ATL/KATL) and New York (JFK/KJFK) will use the smaller Airbus A330 variant and from May ’18, Barbados (BGI/TBPB), Boston (BOS/KBOS) and San Francisco (SFO/KSFO) will join them.

Virgin Atlantic (VS/VIR) had planned to switch the Atlanta service to a 747 in March ’18 but this has been postponed to the end of May ’18.

Virgin is due to receive 4 A330-200 aircraft in early 2018. The aircraft had been leased to defunct German airline, Air Berlin and will be retrofitted with Virgins premium economy cabin.
