Champions League trophy arrives in Cardiff

The UEFA champions league trophy arrived in Cardiff yesterday via Cardiff Airport (CWL/EGFF).

The coveted trophy touched down at Cardiff Airport on-board a specially chartered Embraer ERJ145 aircraft from Enhance Aero Group.

Once “football loving” AM’s & officials had poured over it at the airport, it was paraded through the streets of Cardiff en-route to the Principality Stadium.

Wales’ National Stadium will host the EUFA Champions League final on the 3rd June 2017.

Cardiff Airport is expected to host fans from one team but due to trouble with fans of opposing clubs, under UEFA regulations traffic from the other team will go to another airport such as Bristol Airport (BRS/EGGD).
