Cardiff to Rome from March 2017 with Flybe

Flybe have announced that it will commence flights from Cardiff Airport (CWL/EGFF) to Rome (FCO/LIRF) from March 2017.

The service will be operated twice-weekly on a Tuesday and Saturday with flights leaving Cardiff at 13:50 and 09:20 respectively.

Promising flights from just £24.99 one-way, Flybe said: “We are delighted be releasing this initial phase of our Summer 2017 schedule from Cardiff today. These services connect Wales to key business centres all over Europe as well as to some fantastic destinations that are ideal for short breaks or even longer summer holidays.”

Rome is the Capital city of Italy and is steeped in history from its Roman heritage. From the Colosseum to St Peters and the Sistine Chapel its sure to have something for everyone’s tastes.

Debra Barber, Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer, Cardiff Airport, said: “It’s fantastic to be able to welcome another totally new route to the Flybe network. Our Welsh customers have consistently asked for Rome to be added to our route network and we are delighted that this key service to another major capital city is now on offer from Cardiff Airport.

The addition of Rome now brings the total number of capital cities served from Cardiff to 5.
