The worlds largest aerospace company Boeing recently selected London as its new European headquarters despite fears of Brexit.
The seattle based airframer, which already employs 2000 staff and has invested nearly £2bn in the UK, has said that the Brexit vote would not effect its decision to base its entire UK and European operation in London.
A spokesperson for Boeing said “Boeing has a long-standing relationship with the UK and it is a critical market for the company”
With upcoming launches of new aircraft including the 737-MAX and 777X Boeing is the world’s leading aerospace company and the largest manufacturer of commercial jetliners and military aircraft, with capabilities in rotorcraft, electronic and defence systems, missiles, satellites, launch vehicles and advanced information and communication systems.
It employs around 165,000 people worldwide across 65 countries.
On its website it says “Boeing is proud of its relationships with British industry. Inventive and innovative businesses of all sizes work with Boeing to enhance skills and play a key role in a healthy global aerospace industry.”
