Wizz Air announces new route from Birmingham to Cluj

Hungarian low-cost carrier Wizz Air has announced it will launch a new service from Birmingham Airport (BHX/EGBB) to Cluj in Romania.

Cluj is the gateway to North Western and Central Romania and is the unofficial capital of the Transylvania region. Cluj is also a destination for nature addicts and avid city explores with its Gothic architecture, pretty sights, coffee and cocktails and a nature and urban development there is something for everyone

The new route is due to begin on 16th December 2018 with fares starting from £17.99.

Tom Screen, Acting Aviation Director, Birmingham Airport said: “We are delighted that Wizz Air has decided to increase its presence at Birmingham Airport by adding flights to Cluj this winter. With strong load factors across all their existing Birmingham network, we are sure that Wizz Air’s sixth route from the Midlands will continue their success”.
