Ryanair turns back on Southend

Southend Airport to be Carbon Neutral by 2027

London Southend Airport (SEN/EGMC) has committed to carbon neutrality by 2027 after achieving airport carbon accreditation. The airport has already begun reducing CO2 emissions which totalled 4,724 tCO²e¹ in 2019, down from 5,133 in 2018 which is a 36% reduction in emissions per unit revenue. Widerøe flights get underway at London Southend

Direct flights from London Southend (SEN/EGMC) to Bergen, Norway got underway today when the inaugural Widerøe flight departed at 10:45am. London Southend Airport (SEN/EGMC) welcomes Wizz Air back to its apron today with a flight to Bucharest that is scheduled to depart at 19:50 local time. Loganair is operating the route with a 49-seat Embraer RJ145 Regional Jet making it hard to compete against the numerous low-cost options between London to Glasow from airlines such as Easyjet and Ryanair.
