Ryanair set for Klagenfurt return for Winter 22/23 ski season

Ryanair (FR/RYR) is set to return to the Austrian alps gateway airport in Klagenfurt (KLU/LOWK) after agreeing a deal that will see the airline return from two UK airports.

From 1st November 2022, Ryanair will launch a twice-weekly service to Austria’s six-largest city from London Stansted (STN/EGSS) followed by a weekly service from Manchester (MAN/EGCC) from 17th December.

Speaking about the announcement Andreas Gruber from Ryanair said: “As Austria’s fastest-growing airline, Ryanair is delighted to resume operations from Klagenfurt Airport this winter with four exclusive routes from Brussels, Dublin, London and Manchester which will help position Klagenfurt and the Carinthian region as one of the top To position ski destinations in Europe and at the same time to offer the people of Klagenfurt more travel options to exciting European capitals.

In order to give our customers and visitors to/from Klagenfurt the opportunity to book their winter holidays at the best possible price, we are launching a seat sale with fares starting at €19.99 for travel from October 2022 to March 2023 ending on Thursday 5th May have to be booked. With these amazingly low fares selling out fast, customers should visit Ryanair.com to make sure they don’t miss out.”

Nils Witt, Managing Director of Airport Klagenfurt added: “We are pleased to have gained a very good and rapidly growing partner in Ryanair. This is an essential building block in the further successful development of the airport. For Klagenfurt Airport, following consistent preparatory work, this is the visible trend reversal in passenger numbers.”

Both services are due to run through to the end of March 2023 with fares starting at £19.99 one-way.
