New Air Bridges arrive for Cardiff Airport

Two Air Bridges have arrived at Cardiff Airport ready to be installed ahead of the start of Qatar Airways flights in 2018.

The Air Bridges, which allow passengers to board an aircraft directly from the terminal and avoiding the Welsh weather, were reportedly purchased from Gatwick Airport.

They will now be installed on gates at Cardiff Airport replacing ones that removed some time ago. The previous ones were declared beyond economical repair.

Having air bridges is understood to be a requirement of Qatar Airways who commence daily flights to Doha on the 1st May 2018.
