Cardiff Airport (CWL/EGFF) has won the best small airport (under 3 million passengers) category at the annual AOA conference in London.
The Airport Operators Association (AOA) is the industry body for Airport owners in the UK and holds the awards at its annual conference which is currently being held at The Lancaster in London.
The accolade was awarded to Cardiff Airport at an awards ceremony yesterday evening hosted by travel reporter Simon Calder.
Deb Barber, CEO of Cardiff Airport, added: “To be recognised in this way by a leading industry body really is testament to how far we have come. We’ve been on a real journey of transformation in recent years, which continues, and with many more exciting developments still to come. It seems so fitting that Qatar Airways which was named the World’s Best Airline in 2017 will soon be joining the UK’s Best Airport in its size category!”
