European airframer Airbus has delivered the 100th US built A320 family aircraft from its Mobile, Alabama assembly line.
The A320neo was delivered to Frontier Airlines and featured a livery showing 2 horses, Meadow & West.
Airbus’ assembly facility at Mobile first started production of the A320 family for US markets in 2015 and currently produces 4 aircraft per month.
The aircraft effectively arrive in kit form from sites across Europe including wings made in Broughton, North Wales.
So far, the Mobile site has delivered aircraft to eight U.S.-based customers including Air Lease Corporation, Allegiant Air, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Frontier Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, JetBlue Airways and Spirit Airlines
Airbus also assembles the A320 family aircraft at its main site in Toulouse along with Hamburg, Germany and Tianjin, China.
