The second aircraft to join the flypop fleet has arrived at the start-ups London Stansted (STN/EGSS) base.
The second aircraft, Airbus A330 9H-PTP, is also leased from Maltese leasing specialist Hi Fly and will initially be used for zero LOPA cargo flights before flypop launches passenger services later this year.
zero LOPA flights are cargo flights operated by passenger airliners where the seats have been removed to make space for cargo.
CEO & Principal of flypop Navdip ‘Nino’ Singh Judge said: “Fantastic to see our second flypop aircraft in the skies and especially here at our UK base at London Stansted Airport and flying over my house! flypop is now a revenue-generating airline and we look forward to continuing to grow our fleet of aircraft throughout 2022 for both cargo and passenger operations.”
flypop welcomed the aircraft to its fleet with a party in the Diamond Hangar at London Stansted.
The airline plans to offer low-cost flights from London Stansted to India’s second cities such as Amritsar, Hyderabad, Goa, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Kochi and Chandigarh.
With two more aircraft due to join the fleet soon, it is targeting a Summer 2022 launch.
