SAS to add Heathrow service to Scandinavian Mountains

Scandinavian carrier SAS has announced it will launch a weekly service from London Heathrow (LHR/EGLL) to the new airport of Scandinavian Mountains.

Located between the Ski resorts of Salem in Sweden and Trysil in Norway the flight will give easy access to some of the worlds best skiing.

The weekly flight is set launch on 26th December 2021 and run until the end of February 2022.

Stefan Sjostrand, chief executive of resort owner SkiStar, said: “The huge interest for alpine skiing and winter holidays in Scandinavia has seen an increase over the last few years, and despite the ongoing pandemic we are optimistic about the upcoming season as our guests and citizens are being vaccinated.
