Ryanair outlines Manchester & Liverpool recovery plans

Ryanair (FR/RYR) has outlined its planned recovery schedule for Manchester (MAN/EGCC) and Liverpool (LPL/EGGP) airports.

As air travel begins to recover from the Coronavirus pandemic and the lifting of restrictions in England the airline hopes to be able to deliver a significant increase in its operations.

Manchester Airport will see the airline operating over 315 weekly flights to 67 destinations, including 4 new for summer and 6 for winter, which will deliver 5.1m passengers per year.

Liverpool will see 110 weekly flights to 32 destinations, including 5 new for summer and 5 for winter also, which will deliver 1.9m passengers per year.

Ryanair’s Director of Commercial, Jason McGuinness, said: “As Europe’s largest airline, we’re delighted to deliver recovery and growth to Manchester despite the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic. Following the successful vaccination programmes, UK air traffic led by Ryanair, is set to recover strongly in Summer 2021 and we are pleased to announce our recovery schedule for Manchester, which will deliver 5.1m passengers p.a. across 67 routes including new summer and winter routes to exciting destinations Santorini, Paphos, Zagreb and Verona.

Adding “we are [also] pleased to announce our recovery schedule for Liverpool, which will deliver 1.9m passengers p.a. across 32 routes including new summer and winter routes to exciting destinations Kos, Zadar, Milan and Rome.”

Summer 2021

  • Total Routes 67
  • Weekly Flights: 315
  • New Routes: Santorini, Knock, Bucharest & Verona.

Winter 2021

  • Total Routes 65
  • Weekly Flights: 295
  • New Routes: Kaunas, Paphos, Poznan, Succava, Zagreb & Salzburg.

Liverpool Airport in Detail

Summer 2021

  • Total Routes 32
  • Weekly Flights: 110
  • New Routes: Rome, Kosice, Kaunas, Zadar & Kos.

Winter 2021

  • Total Routes 28
  • Weekly Flights: 88
  • New Routes: Arlanda, Milan Bergamo, Paris Beauvais, Sibiu & Tallinn.
