Leading UK holiday airline Jet2.com has informed passengers that it has cancelled all flights and holidays up to the 15th July.

The news is against the trend of several other UK airlines, including rival TUI which intends to start flying again from the middle of June.

The Leeds Bradford based airline told passengers that if they were due to depart before the 15th July on either a Jet2.com flight or a Jet2Holidays package they will be contacted “proactively” by the company.

“We have said throughout that the sun will shine again and when it does, we will be there to take customers away on their well-deserved holidays. As well as taking them away for their much-needed holidays, customers can be assured that we will be implementing measures, in consultation with the relevant authorities, to ensure the safety and well-being of everybody onboard”

The notice told customers due to depart after the 15th July that they are still subject to standard booking conditions.

Jet2.com had previously cancelled flights up to the 1st July.
