Regional airline Flybe (BE/BEE) has put flights from Cornwall Airport Newquay (NQY/EGHQ) on sale ahead of launching operations later this year.

The airline is offering flights to London Heathrow and Manchester from Cornwall with Heathrow operating (up to) twice daily and Manchester, daily from 30th October 2022.

Flybe CEO, Dave Pflieger, said: “We’re delighted to begin flights to and from Cornwall Airport Newquay, connecting one of the UK’s most popular year-round leisure destinations.  Passengers
can benefit from up to twice daily flights from London Heathrow and a daily service from Manchester. Flybe provides passengers with convenience, choice and everyday great valuein addition to offering complimentary tea, coffee, juice and biscuits on all flights.”

Flybe 2.0 launched operations in April this year from its base at Birmingham Airport and from Belfast City but has been slowly growing its network ever since.

The air link between Cornwall and London was a vital one for the region which was lost with the collapse of the original Flybe.

Since Flybe collapsed, British Airways has been operating a seasonal service to Heathrow and Eastern Airways has been connecting to London Gatwick.

Sam O’Dwyer, Managing Director, Cornwall Airport Newquay. added: “We’re delighted to be welcoming the new flybe as our 10th airline partner at Newquay. With daily flights to both London Heathrow and Manchester starting this winter, these new routes will add much-needed extra capacity as well as additional options for passengers on two of our major markets,”

Flybe will be Cornwall Airport Newquay’s 10th airline.
