Flybe has announced Cardiff to Venice flights will begin in March 2018.

The route, which adds a 4th Italian destination from Cardiff Airport, will operate twice-weekly on a Tuesday and Saturday starting on the 27th March.

Ronnie Matheson, Flybe’s Interim Chief Commercial Officer comments: “We are pleased to offer passengers this brand new route to Venice as part of our 2018 Summer schedule. It boosts further the large selection of flights to great city and sun destinations available from our popular Cardiff base.

“The ongoing success of our services from Cardiff Airport reflects Flybe’s commitment to listening and responding to the needs of our customers, who are increasingly enjoying the time and cost-saving convenience of travelling from their own regional airport. We would advise people to book their summer breaks now to take advantage of our early bird low fares.”

Deb Barber, CEO of Cardiff Airport, added: “There’s no place quite like Venice. It offers miles of waterways, cobbled streets and hidden gems located on every corner. And, while it’s the ideal romantic destination, it’s also a very useful access point for cruise customers across the region. Our customers eagerly await the start of this route – it’s another welcome addition to Flybe’s ever-growing choice of destinations.”

Flybe’s 2018 Summer schedule from Cardiff Airport features 17 routes with a total choice of up to 75 flights a week.
