European aerospace giant Airbus delivered 71 aircraft in October 2023 to 42 customers worldwide with single-aisle dominating once again.

A total of 60 single aisle airliners were delivered including 28 A321neos, 23 A320neos 7 A220-300s and 2 A220-100s to airlines including Wizz Air, Flynas and British Airways.

Widebody deliveries included 1 A330-200 and 2 A330-900 as well as 8 A350-900s to customers including Air India and Delta Airlines.

The deliveries bring the total deliveries for the year to 559 aircraft to 81 customers.

During the same period Airbus received gross orders of 119 aircraft.

The news shows the continuing recovery of Airbus’ recovery following the pandemic which has enabled Airbus to post revenues of €42.6bn for the first nine months of 2023.

“We continue to make progress on our operational plan in a global environment that has become increasingly complex. The nine-month earnings reflect higher commercial aircraft deliveries, the good performance in helicopters as well as charges linked to the reassessment of certain satellite development programmes,” said Guillaume Faury, Airbus Chief Executive Officer. “Demand for our commercial aircraft is very strong with a continuing recovery in the widebody market. We expect the supply chain to remain challenging as we progress on the production ramp-up. In that context, we maintain our guidance for the full year.”
