Manchester Airport (MAN/EGCC) has announced that it will be closing the airports Terminal Two once again, just weeks after it reopened.
The airport originally shut the terminal, along with Terminal Three during the lockdown period of the Coronavirus Pandemic when traffic fell to almost zero but reopened them both in July.
The airport said that after monitoring travel patterns of the airlines and passengers using Manchester airport it would adapt accordingly consolidating travel through Terminal 1 and Terminal 3.
Karen Smart, Managing Director at Manchester Airport, said: “With that in mind, we have taken the decision to close Terminal Two again from September 2.
“All such decisions are driven by our commitment to deliver the best possible airport experience to customers, colleagues and our airline and retail partners.”
The airport added that “Passengers who were due to fly from or into Terminal Two after that date should contact their airlines to confirm which terminal their flight will be transferred to.”
Terminal Two Car Parking will also close and passengers with bookings after the 2nd September will be able to transfer it to another terminal.
