A Virgin Atlantic (VS/VIR) flight has filled the Cornish sky this Valentine’s day by painting a giant heart on flight trackers.
An Airbus A330-200 (G-VMIK) was used for the flight, which left London Gatwick Airport (LGW/EGKK) at 11:27GMT this morning, used e callsign Virgin 850P for its cupid mission over Penzance.
Not visible to those on the ground, the heart was only visible on Flight Trackers such as FligthRadar24, PlaneFinder & Flight Aware.
After completing sharing the love on behalf of Virgin Atlantic G-VMIK returned to Gatwick Airport.
G-VMIK is one of the latest additions to Virgin’s fleet and is one of 2 former Air Berlin aircraft picked up by Virgin to help with capacity whilst it deals with problems with its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.
The airline also recently brought back one of its stored Airbus A340-600 aircraft.
