Cardiff Airport growth has continued for an 11th month according to figures released today.
Compared to the same period in 2015, April saw a 40% rise in passengers using Wales’ only international airport.
April saw a new route launched by Flybe to Verona and the return of the summer routes from Thomson Holidays.
Ryanair and Vueling have both increased the capacity on their routes in response to growing demand from Cardiff Airport and as the trend is continuing it can only get better for Welsh travellers.
Cardiff Airport Managing Director Debra Barber said “It’s very encouraging to see yet another month of passenger growth. Summer is just around the corner and we’re off to a great start”
May will see the opening of new airside facilities in the terminal including Caffe Ritazza and the Beer House. Along with the return of Thomas Cook to the airport.
Debra Barber added “We remain committed to delivering an enjoyable customer experience and proudly fly the flag for Wales every day of the year”
