British Airways to launch direct Pittsburgh connection

British Airways (BA/BAW) has confirmed it will be launching a direct service to Pittsburgh (PIT/KPIT) from Spring 2019.

The flight from London Heathrow (LHR/EGLL) will operate 4 times-per-week year-round from 2nd April 2019 using a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner.

The flight will be the UK’s only direct connection to the city.

Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania is known as Steel City due to its being the heartland of US steel production, their football team is even known as the Steelers. It is also famed as the City of Bridges, it has 446 of them!

It also has a thriving arts, culture & food scene and thanks to the great rivers, green valleys and majestic mountains, a vast range of outdoor activities are also easily accessible.

Visitors can also explore the Carnegie Museums of Art, Natural History and Science, meander around the Botanical Gardens or soak up the lively strip district.

With flights starting at just £600, its a touchdown even Big Ben Roethlisberger can make!
