British Airways offers Christmas Market breaks from £99

British Airways (BA/BAW) has announced a winter warmer offer with short breaks to Christmas Markets in Europe from just £99 per person.

With summer firmly over and the weather turning autumnal its definitely the time when most of us turn our attention to winter breaks and for many, that means a trip to a European city for a Christmas market.

Gothenburg, Vienna and Budapest are high on the list for many as the offer some of the very best pre-Christmas atmosphere to be found in Europe.

With that in mind, British Airways holidays are offering some special deals.

Gothenburg (November 25 to December 29 2019)

Combine a city break and shopping for unique gifts with a visit to one of the many Christmas markets in Gothenburg where festive knits, food, cake and Glögg can be found in abundance.

The largest Christmas Market in Scandinavia can be found at Liseberg, where millions of Christmas lights transform the amusement park into a glittering winter wonderland.

Vienna (November 16 to December 24 2019)

Christmas markets are an age-old part of Austria’s elegant capital, Vienna, with the earliest dating back to 1298 when Albrecht I granted his citizens a December market. Now, they are held all over the city, and are well worth a visit – in particular the Viennese Christmas Market in front of the City Hall.

Set on the Rathausplatz, the Wiener Christkindlmärkt is truly magical. Vienna’s biggest Christmas Market spreads out in front of the magical towers and spires of the gorgeously gothic City Hall to create a fairyland of 150 stalls, Christmas workshops and a carousel. Nuremberg (November 28 to December 23 2019)
