Airbus SE has announced its financial results for the first half of 2024, showcasing solid performance despite facing significant challenges.

The company reported consolidated revenues of €27.7 billion, up 12% from the previous year, driven by increased aircraft deliveries and favorable exchange rates.

The operating profit rose to €2.6 billion, compared to €2.0 billion in the first half of 2023.

However, Airbus also highlighted the continued difficulties within its supply chain, particularly concerning engines, aerostructures, and cabin equipment.

These issues have led to a reduction in their 2024 delivery forecast to around 770 commercial aircraft, down from an earlier target of 820.

The company remains focused on ramping up production rates, aiming for 75 A320 Family aircraft per month by 2027.

The results also reflect a €0.9 billion charge related to technical and commercial challenges in their space systems segment, indicating ongoing difficulties in certain telecommunications, navigation, and observation programs.

Despite these challenges, Airbus remains optimistic, maintaining its financial outlook and continuing to prioritize operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
