Airbus figures for January show that the airframer delivered 20 aircraft to 15 customers in the first month of 2023.

Deliveries included 18 single-aisle airliners to customers including Air Lease Corporation (ALC) and Aviation Capital Group (ACG).

Two wide-body airliners were also delivered, an A330-900 for Virgin Atlantic and an A350-900 for Starlux Airlines, both leased through ALC.

In addition to the deliveries, there was also a positive start to the year for orders with a total of 36 aircraft being ordered in January.

Orders included 24 A320neo family aircraft and 12 A220-300 aircraft.

With many aircraft components, including the wings for all A3XX family airliners, being produced in the UK, the strong start is great news for the UK economy.
