Thomas Cook will make 15,000 seats available over Easter 2019

Thomas Cook has announced it will start its flying programme at Cardiff Airport (CWL/EGFF) from the 3rd April next year as it aims to take advantage of the Easter getaway.

The airline normally operates a summer schedule only, starting from May 1st, at Cardiff Airport using a leased A320 but will now offer 11 flights per week in April making an extra 15,000 seats available over the Easter period.

Destinations include Turkey, Spain, Canary Islands and Cyrus in addition to Enfidah, Tunisia which is a new route.

Henry Sunley, Commercial Director at Thomas Cook Airlines, says, “This is a brand new Easter programme from Cardiff with our season traditionally beginning on May 1. It’s great to be able to reward our customers who fly with us from Cardiff Airport with even more choice.”

Spencer Birns, Commercial Director, Cardiff Airport, added: “It’s excellent to see one of our valued airline partners adding even more choice for our passengers for Spring and Summer next year.

Cardiff Airport now welcomes more than 1.5 million passengers annually who are often in search of warmer weather and holiday packages that offer value for money, so Thomas Cook Airlines’ announcement of more seats and a new route to Tunisia for next year is great news for customers who choose to fly from their local airport.”
