The UK has spent the weekend being battered by Storm Bert with strong winds and rain battering much of the country.
The storm has affected all forms of transport and air travel in particular has suffered hundreds of weather related cancellations on both Saturday and Sunday.
According to data from aviation analytics firm Cirium, Saturday saw 126 flights due to leave UK airports cancelled as a result of Storm Bert while a further 118 flights to arrive in the UK were cancelled.
Heathrow Airport was the most affected airport with 46 outbound and 48 inbound flights being cancelled.
Sunday (as of 11am) had seen 121 outbound flights cancelled at UK airports while 117 inbound flights were affected.
Once again Heathrow saw the highest disruption with 88 outbound and 85 inbound flights cancelled as Sunday saw the South East of England bore the brunt.
According to the Met Office, Storm Bert is expected to slowly moving away from the UK as the weekend draws to a close leaving airlines with the headache of getting their networks back in line.
As a result further disruption is expected on Monday as airlines relocate aircraft that are not in their correct places.
