Jet2 PLC, which operates under the Jet2.com and Jet2 Holiday brands, has reported a rise of 24% in revenue for the financial year ending March 2024 compared to the previous year.

The latest 12 months saw the UK holiday company and airline achieve revenue of £6,225.3m compared to £5,033.5m in 2023 which also resulted in a 9% increase in operating profit to £428.2M (2023: £394.0M).

The increase was achieved with a 9% increase in passengers to 17.72m, up from 16.22m and a higher margin per passenger on flights and holidays.

Growth looks set to continue with Summer 2024 seat sales sitting 12.4% higher than last summer.

The growth confidence has allowed Jet2 to commit to its new aircraft fully and it has now exercised all the options it has on Airbus A321neo airliners bringing its firm orders for the type to 146.

Jet2’s Liverpool base is now firmly established with strong demand and they are also set to open their 12th UK base in 2025 at Bournemouth Airport.

Looking forward Jet2 says that it is confident that the ‘end to end’ package holiday market is a “resilient and popular product” for Jet2 customers despite the uncertain economic environment laying down its aims to be the UK’s leading (and best) leisure travel business.
