International Airlines Group (IAG) Cargo is providing a boost to the Asia-Pacific cargo market from London with the return of Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur flights after a four-year break.
From the 28th of October this year, there will be three cargo flights per week from London Gatwick (LGW/EGKK) to Bangkok using a Boeing 777 as well as daily flights from London Heathrow (LHR/EGLL) to Kuala Lumpur using a Boeing 787.
In addition, there will be 10 weekly flights to Tokyo Haneda from London Heathrow and flights to Tokyo Narita will also return from Madrid, Spain.
Camilo Garcia Cervera, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer said: “We’re pleased to welcome back Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur to our schedule and resume flights to Tokyo from Madrid. These destinations represent crucial connections for cargo transport and will enable our customers in the Asia Pacific region to tap into our global network via our hubs in London, Madrid, Dublin and Barcelona.”
IAG Cargo was formed when British Airways World Cargo (BA World Cargo) and Iberia Cargo merged in 2011. With other airlines being merged into IAG, Aer Lingus, Vueling and Level also added cargo capacity.
