Elon Musk flight tracker that was banned by Twitter jumps to rival Threads

A bot programme created to track Elon Musk’s private jet has launched on Twitter rival Threads after the Elon Musk owned platform banned its account.

Created by Jack Sweeney Elon Musk Jet automatically posts when Mr Musk’s takes off and lands using the publicly available ADS-B data sent by aircraft.

Mr Musk had offered Mr Sweeney cash to stop the tracking activity but pulled out of the deal opting to suspend the account on Twitter after he purchased the platform.

But you cant keep a good bot down and the tracker is now on the Facebook / Meta owned Threads platform which was launched last week and has seen huge uptake particularly by disgruntled twitter users.
