Air India will launch a direct service between Benglauru to London Gatwick (LGW/EGKK) from late summer this year to meet growing demand for travel between the UK and the Bangalore region of India.
The new service will operate five-times-per-week using a Boeing 787 Dreamliner which includes Air India’s business class cabin featuring 18 lie flat beds.
In a statement, Campbell Wilson, CEO & Managing Director, Air India, said: “We are delighted to offer our guests convenient, nonstop flights between Bengaluru and London Gatwick. This new route caters to the growing demand for travel between these two important business and leisure destinations, and strengthens our commitment to expanding our global network.”
London Gatwick will offer a second UK option for travellers as British Airways and Virgin Atlantic both operate to Bengaluru from London Heathrow (LHR/EGLL)
