Avolon reports strong first 9 months of 2024

Irish leasing and aviation financing specialist Avolon has reported a strong 9 months of 2024 with the purchase of 134 aircraft arranged during that period.

The figures come as Avolon releases its 3rd Quarter (Q3) statement which shows that during Q3 it delivered 9 new aircraft, and transitioned the lease of 5 used aircraft to 11 customers.

During the same period, Avolon also sold 11 aircraft ending Q3 with sales agreed on 59 aircraft.

As of the end of Q3 Avolon now has a customer base of 141 airlines around the world with a fleet of 577 aircraft that it either owns or manages.

Avolon’s current order backlog for new airliners stands at 442, including firm orders and commitments.

The Dublin headquartered company also recently announced the acquisition of Castlelake Aviation Ltd which will see its fleet boosted by 105 aircraft, 2 engines and additional 13 aircraft commitments. Assets worth around $5bn.
