Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LPL/EGGP) has been voted the best airport in the UK for customer satisfaction according to a new survey from Which?.

Criteria surveyed by Which? included queues at check-in and security, baggage reclaim, seating, staff, the range of shops and wifi.

The airport ranked highly in all areas except the range of shops giving it an overall customer satisfaction score of 81%.

In stark contrast, its closest competitor Manchester Airport (MAN/EGCC) came bottom with a score of just 37%. Passengers at Manchester gave low scores in all areas with particularly low scores for security queues, seating and staff.

London City (LCY/EGLC), Norwich (NWI/EGSH), Exeter (EXT/EGTE) and Southampton (SOU/EGHI) completed the top five and earned themselves Which? recommended provider status.

The UK’s biggest airports London Heathrow (LHR/EGHH) and London Gatwick (LGW/EGKK) were both mid-table.

Which? says that the survey, which was conducted in April this year was done via an online survey of 4,962 members of the Which? Connect panel who told them about 6,695 experiences flying from UK airports.
