Global aviation logistics specialist Menzies Aviation has officially opened its new headquarters in Central London as it seeks to increase its market share in the aviation services market.

The Bloomsbury Square office was officially opened this week by Menzies Aviation Chairman Hassan El-Houry, CEO Philipp Joeinig and His Majesty’s Ambassador to the State of Kuwait Belinda Lewis.

Philipp Joeinig, CEO, Menzies Aviation said: “The launch of Menzies’ new global headquarters in London signals our intent and global reach as the world’s largest aviation services company. We are extremely proud to be a British business with a rich-Scottish heritage, and our London headquarters will be home to many of our senior executives and corporate teams who will use it as a base to connect with customers and colleagues.”

Menzies Aviation operates in over 250 airports in 58 countries around the world and it aims to be the number one provider of aviation services globally.

Hassan El-Houry, Chairman, Menzies Aviation said: “It’s fitting that our global headquarters has returned to the city where John Menzies was first inspired to launch his successful business nearly 190 years ago. Over the centuries, Menzies has remained relevant by constantly evolving and staying one step ahead of competitors. We will continue this legacy as we enter a new chapter of accelerated growth to become the undisputed number one in our industry.”

Belinda Lewis, His Majesty’s Ambassador to the State of Kuwait, said: “It’s wonderful to celebrate the opening of Menzies’ new headquarters in central London. The combination of Menzies Aviation and National Aviation Services brought together many decades of British and Kuwaiti business acumen, reflecting the strong, historic relationship between the UK and Kuwait.  The UK’s aviation industry is a vital part of our economy and it’s great to host the global headquarters of the world’s largest aviation services company.”

The company was founded in 1833 in Scotland and its heritage will remain as it will continue to have an office in Edinburgh.
