Orders for Boeing’s beleaguered 737 Max family have continued to disappear as Boeing saw 88 orders cancelled last month.
Despite the type being cleared to return to service airlines including Virgin Australia and Air Lease cancelled aircraft.
Boeing did disclose though that Virgin Australia offset 25 of those cancellations with orders for the larger Max10 variant due in 2023.
It isn’t a total loss those as Ryanair did convert options for 75 aircraft as part of a compensation package for the delays to the Irish budget airlines 737 Max 200s.
American Airlines is set to be the first US airline to return the Max to passenger service with the first flights due on 29th December this year.
UK airlines including TUI Airways UK are targeting early 2021 for a return to service.
