Edinburgh headquarted Menzies Aviation has been selected by Lima’s Jorge Chavez International Airport to provide ground handling services.
The eight year contract will see Menzies engage in local recruitment programme to match the expected demand for its services from the 25 passenger airlines that use the airport.
The airport is operated by Lima Airport Partners (LAP) and serves as Peru’s main gateway as well as a gateway to South America, providing access to more than 62 destinations. It is also a major hub for LATAM Peru.

Menzies was succesfull in the bidding procerss largely thanks to its “Electric First” approach to its Ground Support Equipment helping airports to reduce their carbon emissions and work towards net-zero.
