About Roy Elks

Roy learned to fly when working in the USA and flew for business for several years building up 800hrs before joining a small airline in the In-flight department to work toward acceptance as a Flight Engineer in one of their fleet of 727-200's. On collapse of the airline he joined a major Flight Training company as an instructor to train FFA inspectors. Roy retired back to the UK and live in Lancashire. During his career he has owned three aircraft; a Piper Colt, a Cessna 175A and a Piper Archer 2.
