Vueling has today announced it will increase capacity from Cardiff Airport (CWL/EGFF) for summer 2016.
The boost will see an additional 44,000 seats available across all of Vueling‘s destinations from Cardiff Airport. With the additional seats it means there are 151,000 seats available between April and October 2016.
Vueling, which operates from 11 UK airports has proved very popular with Welsh travellers who fly to Spain with their combination of regular services and low fares. They currently operate from Cardiff Airport to Barcelona, Malaga, Alicante and Palma.
The increase will see all flights operating up to 4 times per week from the end of March 2016 right through to October 2016.
Spencer Birns, Commercial Director at Cardiff Airport, said: “Vueling’s decision to increase flights from Cardiff this summer comes as a direct response to the increased demand from passengers to fly to popular Spanish destinations from Wales’ national Airport, a fact which has also been reflected over the past nine months of consecutive passenger growth.
The airline has been flying passengers to and from Cardiff Airport since 2012 and in that time we’ve seen the routes go from strength to strength. We look forward to a continued successful relationship with the airline which will, in turn, lead to more choice for both Welsh passengers and visitors to Wales.”
