Low-cost carrier Norwegian Air International has cut some UK to US transatlantic routes to summer only from October 2018.
Services from Edinburgh (EDI/EGPH) to Providence (PVD/KPVD) and Belfast International (BFS/EGAA) to Newburgh Stewart (SWF/KSWF) will no longer be operated between the end of October 2018 and March 2019.
Norwegian Air International is the Irish subsidiary of Norwegian Air Shuttle and the cutbacks also affect flights from Shannon and Cork. It operates trans-Atlantic routes with the new Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft.
Belfast International to Newburgh Stewart operates twice-weekly and Edinburgh to Providence operates three-times-per-week.
