With just 40mins to go before Monarchs ATOL certificate expires, The last 2 outbound flights have been cancelled.

- 00:45 Ibiza Airport shows Monarch flights to Birmingham and Gatwick as BA flight numbers
- 00:30 2 Qatar Airways A320’s depart Stansted for Ibiza as BA92100 & BA9201.
- ZB418 from Birmingham to Ibiza and ZB298 from London Gatwick to Ibiza have both been cancelled at the Boarding stage.
No official announcement has been made from either Monarch or the Civil Aviation Authority but 8 Aircraft from Qatar Airways and 3 from Air Transat are in Europe to assist with the potential repatriation of Monarch customers.
The deadline for to renew their ATOL certificate is 23:59hrs 1st October 2017.
Monarch Airlines have been contacted regarding the cancellations.
In addition to the cancellations, all Monarch aircraft have been towed to remote stands. One of the indicators analysts look for when airlines cease trading.
