Jet2 (LS/EXS) has u-turned on its decision to keep flying holidaymakers to Spain after it removed it’s the quarantine section of its “worry free” promise.
The airline had insisted it would continue flying to all parts of Spain putting passengers in the position of either canceling and losing their money or enduring a 14-day quarantine on return.
Jet2 has now cancelled all flights between the UK and mainland Spain until 17th August.
The change comes as the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) toughens its travel advice the region.
The FCO had previously only advised against all but essential travel to Mainland Spain but has now extended that to include the Canary amd Balearic Islands.
This will come as a blow to Spanish authorities that had been trying to rescue the tourism industry suggesting the Islands could be exempt from Quarantine.
As Jet2 has now cancelled the flights and holidays, passengers are entitled to a full refund or an alternative holiday.
