Jet2 named AIM Growth Business of the Year

UK holiday and leisure travel company Jet2 PLC, which trades as Jet2Holidays and Jet2.com, has been named AIM Growth Business of the Year at the annual AIM Awards sponsored by BDO in partnership with the London Stock Exchange.

AIM is a submarket of the London Stock Exchange and is a market for small and medium-sized growth businesses.

The award recognises Jet2’s growth in the UK holiday market to being the UK’s leading package holiday provider and third largest airline by number of passengers flown.

Criteria for the winner included achieving exceptional, consistent growth in turnover and profitability for at least the past three years.

The company was praised for its continued strong growth which saw it achieve a 24% increase in revenue as well as investing in future sustainability with its fleet changes towards A321neo aircraft, of which it has 146 on order, which will see it reduce its emissions per seat by 20% compared to its current fleet.

Gary Brown, Group Chief Financial Officer of Jet2 plc, who accepted the award said: “We are very proud to have been awarded AIM Growth Business of the Year at this year’s AIM Awards. Our strategy remains consistent, which is to be the UK’s Leading and Best Leisure Travel Business, and this award is a testament to our brilliant colleagues who work tirelessly to create countless positive memories for our customers.”

Jet2 operates from 11 UK bases including Belfast International, Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, Liverpool John Lennon, Manchester, Newcastle and London Stansted and will open its 12th base at Bournemouth in February 2025.
