Finnish flag carrier Finnair has completed the rollout of its brand new long-haul cabin layout on its Airbus A350 and A330 aircraft including entirely new business class and redesigned premium economy and economy cabins.
Getting the new cabin fitted to its entire long-haul A350 and A330 fleet in just two years shows the commitment by the airline to offer a premium product for passengers travelling via Helsinki to destinations across the globe.
Winning the “Cabin Concept of the Year” when it was launched, the new business class features seating developed in collaboration with Collins Aerospace which are designed to maximise space using a fixed shell enabling a wide variety of sitting and sleeping positions, allowing customers to make the space their own during a relaxing long-haul flight.
Ole Orvér, Chief Commercial Officer of Finnair said: “After just two years, it is fantastic to have completed the rollout of our new award-winning long-haul cabin.
“Since its launch in 2022, customer feedback on our revolutionary Business Class seat and brand-new Premium Economy cabin has been excellent, so we are proud to be able to offer the renewed cabin on flights to all our long-haul destinations.
“We also know our customers value consistency and reliability, so to offer a uniform cabin concept across our whole fleet is a huge step on our customer experience journey. Customer satisfaction with our long-haul cabins has increased significantly with the cabin renewal.”
The entire cabin benefits from Finnair’s Nordic-inspired interior which features a warm, dark, comforting colour scheme that follows the palette and design of the airline’s non-Schengen lounges at Helsinki Airport.
Refitting the aircraft with the upgraded cabin cost a total of €200 million.
