The Facebook guide for AvGeek’s

social-media

Being an Aviation Enthusiast or “AvGeek” used to involve sitting around an airport and the only people you would meet were other local enthusiasts or perhaps, from further afield at airshows. But thanks to the internet and in particular, Facebook, you can now share your passion, news and photos with a few clicks, not just around the UK, but the whole world.

Facebook could almost have been made for the aviation community with groups springing up for almost every aspect of aviation, from airport spotter & enthusiasts groups through to General Aviation communities. Many with thousands of members.

Members of Facebook groups can share photos, ask questions, find out information or give others the heads up if something special is happening.

Most groups welcome members even from outside their area so why not join a few and expand your aviation horizons.

Here’s our guide to the best groups for your area or your particular interest.
