Manchester Airport (MAN/EGCC) has confirmed that German carrier Eurowings is set to launch direct flights between the North West and Stuttgart, Germany from Spring 2024.
Operating four times per week on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays the service will be operated by an Airbus A319.
Stuttgart will be the 8th German city with a direct flight from Manchester with Berlin, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Munich, Cologne, Dusseldorf and Freiburg already served.
Chris Woodroofe, Managing Director of Manchester Airport said: ‘We are thrilled to be adding another new destination to what is already the most extensive route network of any UK airport outside London, giving our passengers even more choice when planning their next trip.
“Our data shows that Stuttgart is one of the most in-demand destinations that is not already served, so it’s fantastic news that Eurowings will step in and meet that demand.”
The German city is twinned with nearby St Helens, a connection that has been in place since shortly after the end of World War II.
The first flight will take place on the 6th May 2024 and fares start at £39.99 one-way.
