Cotswold Airport (GBA/EGBP) has announced that it will launch its 2018 Aviation Scholarship applications from Monday 22nd January.
The hugely successful scholarship has been running for 10 years and sees the 10 successful applicants will undertake a 2-week scholarship including flight training along with visits to aviation industry sites including Bristol Airport.
Founded by Cotsworld Airport owner Ronan Harvey, the scheme was set up to open up the broad and exciting world of aviation career opportunities to young people from the local area. Previous scholars have gone on to jobs in aviation engineering and commercial flying.
For the 2nd year running the scholarship is being sponsored by Gulf Aviation which allows the organisers to add an increased number of loggable flying hours; and drone tuition with on-site UAV Academy.

The generous sponsorship from Gulf Aviation will make it possible to continue to enhance the programme for all of the youngsters who take part. I would encourage any young person with an interest in a career in aviation to apply for a place; not only is it a fantastic experience but it really helps the students take their first steps towards what can be a very rewarding career in aviation, whilst allowing them to build contacts and make new friends at the same time.”
