The organisers of the RAF Cosford Airshow have announced that they have decided to postpone the airshow until at least September.
In a statement, the organisers said that under the current situation caused by the Coronavirus pandemic they “cannot guarantee reasonable provision by June; our emergency services need to concentrate on the matter in hand.”
They went on to say that “We are actively looking to see if it would be possible to resurrect the RAF Cosford Air Show in September, but only should the situation and availability of supporting services permit.”
The decision differs from the Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford and the Farnborough International Airshow who both cancelled their 2020 events.
RAF Cosford Airshow organisers added, “Although we are disappointed to be in this position, we believe it is the right decision to protect the health and well-being of our visitors and serving personnel; this is, and always will be, our top priority.”
People who have already purchased tickets will have the option of getting a full refund or carrying the tickets over to the next Cosford Airshow.
