Figures released by Cardiff Airport have shown yet another month of consecutive growth at Wales’ national airport.

November saw an 11% increase in passengers using the airport compared to the same period in 2015. This growth brings the rolling 12 month total to almost 1.4m passengers, an 18% growth overall.

A host new winter flights including Chambery, Geneva & Milan along with the German cities of Berlin & Munich are proving popular for city and skiing breaks.

Debra Barber, Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer at Cardiff Airport, said: “Passenger growth in November is testament to the increase in choice and frequency now available at Cardiff Airport.

Looking ahead to December, it will be great to welcome customers who will be making use of the 50+ direct destinations to visit friends and family over Christmas, not to mention the stunning Christmas markets on offer in Berlin and Munich.

“Passengers will also be heading off to Lapland to see Santa Claus or seeking some winter sun, with flights jetting off over winter to Faro with Flybe, Spain and the Canaries with Thomson and Ryanair (Tenerife) plus cruise flights to Barbados with P&O.”
