Vale of Glamorgan based Maintenance company Caerdav has announced a contract with leading low-cost carrier Easyjet.

The contract will see Caerdav carry out essential aircraft end-of-lease checks and repairs on a number of Airbus aircraft over the Winter.

Easyjet has initially sent two A319 aircraft through Caerdav ahead of their Return to Lessor and the airline was impressed by the capabilities and adaptability of its management and maintenance teams.

Ian Boaler, Head of Fleet Transition, Easyjet, says: “We need flexible partners for our end-of-lease checks, as inspections can reveal additional essential maintenance requirements. We have had a very positive experience – Caerdav has proved its ability to deliver on time, on budget, and adapt to our changing needs rapidly and effectively.”

Caerdav, formerly Cardiff Aviation, is a fully-approved and certified Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility which operates from St Athan (Bro Tathan) airfield.
